Big summer update: adhocracy.plus v2607.1
We're delighted to share our big summer update with you! Over the past few months, we've been busy working together on exciting new developments and improving existing systems, so that together we can enable even better participation!
New: Guest accounts
In addition to regular accounts, adhocracy.plus now offers guest accounts. Users now have the option to create guest access. This removes the need to register with an email address and username.
As an initiator, you remain in control! In the project's basic settings, you can decide whether only registered users or guest accounts as well may participate in the project.
Guest accounts can do everything regular accounts can, but participants lose access to their guest account as soon as the browser is closed. This prevents third parties from gaining access to the account.
Guest accounts do not receive notifications and cannot follow projects. It is possible to convert the account into a regular account in the guest account settings (user menu, top right).
New: Contact information for participants
When creating ideas and proposals, participants can optionally leave their email address and/or phone number for contact purposes. To do so, they must activate the consent declaration. Participant data can be found in the module's export.
New: Project and module pages
The project and module pages have been modernised and made clearer.
The project page has been restructured so that navigation via the Information, Participation, and Results tabs is no longer needed. Instead, project information can now be found behind a button beneath the project's short description, and results appear at the end of the project page (only if results have actually been entered).
Text no longer appears on the project's header image (accessibility).
You can now switch between two display modes: "Overview" (participation and events shown separately) and "Timeline" (chronological view of the project's progress, with participation and events displayed in chronological order).
The module pages have been adapted to match this new design.
New: Reminder email for results
An automatic email reminds project initiators, one week after the project ends, to publish the (interim) results on adhocracy.plus.
Improved: Survey module
Our popular survey module has been almost completely overhauled:
Results are now displayed in an updated design.
When answering questions, participants are now guided through each question individually, rather than seeing the entire questionnaire at once.
It is now possible to add images to questions.
In the question settings, you can determine whether incoming answers are visible to all participants or only to the project's initiators in the .csv export.
Improved: Image upload
Uploading images has been significantly simplified: in addition to now supporting the WebP format, we've removed all other restrictions entirely! Any size and any scaling is now permitted. After uploading, you can choose the image crop yourself, and size and scaling will be adjusted automatically.
